Rudy Schippell Wins Award

On April 9th, 2009 Hunt Transportation driver, Rudy Schippell was awarded the Nebraska Trucking Association "Driver of the Month" for the month of April. Rudy was selected for his years of accident-free service as well as his positive influence in the transportation community. The Nebraska State Patrol selects the award winners from a pool of qualified drivers that the Nebraska Trucking Association provides from carriers. Rudy was given his Driver of the Month award by the Nebraska State Patrol at the NTA’s monthly meeting held this time in York, NE. On hand with Rudy and representing Hunt Transportation at the meeting were Orrin Tryon, VP of Operations, Dave Galley, Fleet Manager and Christian Stanley, Director of Safety. Unable to attend was Rudy’s wife, Deb who also received an award from the NTA for her support of the transportation safety industry.

Rudy was humble as always and it would probably be fair to say he was a little embarrassed about all of the attention but still very proud of his accomplishment. When asked if he had anything he would like to say after winning his award Rudy simply stated, "Thank you." All of us here at Hunt Transportation are very proud of Rudy and thankful for his years of accident-free service.
